HERE IS WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
There are three stages to developing a strong painting of the mouth: construction, color lay in and refinements.
LESSON 2: CONSTRUCTION OF THE MOUTH
We start by taking a look at the construction of the mouth from all angles. Understanding its anatomy and structure is essential to accurately capture the mouth.
LESSON 3: COLOR LAY IN
Next we move to color lay in, mapping in a basic color for the light side and shadow side of the mouth and the forms around the mouth. I will show you my palette and exactly how I'm mixing these colors.
LESSON 4: REFINEMENTS
We end with the finishing touches, adding the highlights and taking a close look at edge quality.
